Generally, settlement of your CTP claim will occur after liability has been determined by the CTP Insurer, your injuries are considered medically stable and the impact of the injuries is known. Find out more information about medical assessments which may occur prior to settlement.
All CTP claims are assessed individually and the amount of time it takes to settle them varies. Settlement will usually be quicker for straightforward claims where injuries are minor and there are no issues determining liability for the accident, while claims involving more severe injuries or liability investigations will take longer to settle.
