A key function of the Regulator is to make, monitor and review the Regulator Rules. As a result the Regulator Rules are amended from time to time. Historical versions of the Regulator Rules from 1 July 2019 are listed below.

Regulator Rules 1 February 2023
This version made changes to clarify CTP Insurers' responsibility to accept service and made changes to the process of making settlement offers.

Regulator Rules 11 April 2022
This version made amendments to the requirement for insurers to list dedicated telephone lines in the white and yellow pages.

Regulator Rules 6 December 2021
This version made amendments to requirements on CTP Insurers regarding the prescribed authority and to align requirements with ASIC RG 271.

Regulator Rules 29 September 2020
This version made amendments in response to the introduction of the Uniform Civil Rules 2020.

Regulator Rules 10 August 2020
This version amended the definition of complaint.

Regulator Rules 13 July 2020
This version introduced a temporary Rule 9.4A to run for the length of a trial of telehealth ISV medical assessments for pure mental harm as a result of COVID-19.

Regulator Rules 1 June 2020
This version amended a timeframe in Rule 6 and inserted a new Rule 6.14 to manage the release of vehicle collision reports from CTP Insurers to claimants.

Regulator Rules 1 July 2019
This version was released for the start of the competitive CTP Scheme.

Regulator Rules 10 January 2019
This version introduced rule 16 on brand marketing.
