MAIAS is seeking peer reviewers for quality assurance

As part of the MAIAS, Accredited Medical Practitioners (AMPs) conduct medical assessments and write expert reports on their findings.

These reports are then subjected to a quality assurance program. Reports are sampled and assessed by peer reviewers to measure:

  • compliance with accreditation obligations and legislation
  • accuracy in assessment methodology and calculations
  • timeframes for report delivery.

The MAIAS Administrator is seeking medical experts who are interested in taking part of this quality assurance process as peer reviewers.

To be eligible, applicants must have expertise in AMA5 or Guide to the Evaluation of Psychiatric Impairment for Clinicians (GEPIC).

Information on the role and how to apply is available via a simple login at Tenders SA. Applications must be submitted via the Tenders SA website by 2pm (ACST) on 21 July 2023.

For further enquiries, call 1300 303 558 or email maias@sa.gov.au.
